Rosalyn joined Huntington Beach Art League in 2009. She has entered work in Juried shows and displayed in the Windows Gallery in the Huntington Beach Library. She was awarded First Prize in Oils/Acrylics in the November 2010 HBAL Juried show, and Second Prize in the "Viewers Choice" show February 2013.  First, Second, Third and Honorable mention ribbons have been given to her at the Art league monthly meetings.  In September, 2019 she was admitted to the "Masters Category" after receiving more than 5 First Place ribbons at various monthly meetings.

Rosalyn is a self taught artist, having no formal training.  She started dabbling in painting early in life, but had little opportunity to paint while in India. She seriously returned to painting in 2008. Rosalyn paints mostly in oils, though she has ventured some into watercolors and acrylics recently.   Not wanting to do animals earlier, she ventured into wildlife and pets and has done quite a few commissioned pet portrait  paintings.  Now, many of her paintings contain wildlife.

Rosalyn enjoys painting God’s creation as seen in nature, both Landscapes and Seascapes. After
spending time in four different countries she has lots of material for painting and drawing. Some of her subjects are from photos taken over the years. Others are composed from remembering various scenes throughout her travels.
